Onshore Rigs (Land)

Onshore rigs are used to drill oil and gas wells located on land and are the most widely used rig type globally. They are relatively low-cost, easy to transport, and quicker to deploy compared to offshore rigs. These rigs are commonly used for conventional reservoirs, shale oil, shale gas, and tight gas formations. Their accessibility allows faster drilling, maintenance, and workforce movement.
Offshore Rigs

Offshore Rigs are permanent structures installed directly on the seabed and used mainly for long-term production. They are common in shallow to moderately deep waters and can support drilling, processing, and accommodation facilities. These platforms are highly durable and suitable for mature fields. However, they involve high installation and decommissioning costs.
